Social e-book app Glose, acquired by publishing Giant Medium

Medium Acquires Glose: A recent acquisition of Glose, a France-based social digital book platform,  by Medium which is an online publishing platform came into the knowledge of the public.

The acquisition took place smoothly but the amount paid by Medium is still unknown. 

Glose was Founded in 2014 and gained a huge momentum hence getting almost a million users stretched over 200 countries worldwide.

It had a wide range of fiction and nonfiction, ebooks and audiobooks from all major publishers, including HarperCollins, Macmillan, Hachette, and Simon & Schuster, and various others, Medium said in a statement on Friday.

With the coming of Glose and medium together, Medium Acquires Glose, Medium will now be capable of serving more than 1.5 million books to their user base as said Medium CEO, Ev Williams.

Users will have the option to discover from a greater number of books they are searching for by a writer or on the subject, and writers can have their diverse substance across the single board place, hoisting their voice and viewpoint. 

On Glose, readers can make booklists, take part in gatherings, share thoughts and comment on the books they read, follow their every day and week by week understanding, and set individual objectives. 

“Glose’s main goal has consistently been to help individuals read more, and assist them with getting what they read,” said Nicolas Princen, author and CEO of Glose. 

Joining Medium gives writers an incredible chance to carry out their innovation to a more extensive number of readers around the globe.
